Catalpa Malbec 2022

Mendoza has rewritten the rules when it comes to high altitude as the heights are crazy. This Malbec is from the sub-district of La Consulta in Mendoza's Uco Valley. Atamisque's winemaker, Philippe Caraguel, can do no wrong for me. There’s layer upon layer of classic sweet Malbec fruit and subtle French oak (50% of the wine) with a resonating freshness. You really must treat yourself to a bottle or more of this – it's the essence of Malbec.
