Avignonesi Rosso di Montepulciano 2021 | Organic

Fresh notes of strawberry, blackberry and blueberry accompanied by final nuances of wild myrtle and orange peel. The palate is juicy with increasing intensity of flavour. It has a delicate and soft tannic structure complemented by generous aftertaste notes of cherry typical of Sangiovese.

Montepulciano is a small medieval hilltop town south of Siena in Toscana, producing some of Italy’s finest wines, and is most famous for its Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The DOC of Rosso di Montepulciano was created in 1998. It is very much the younger brother of Vino Nobile being made from slightly higher yields and with shorter ageing. It maintains the tradition of the region but makes the wines more accessible.
