Castiglion del Bosco Brunello di Montalcino is a 100% Sangiovese of complexity and power. Grapes are hand-picked and whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 18 days. Matured in French oak barriques (20% new and 80% first and second passage) for 24 months before bottling and release. Aromas of stewed fruits; redberry, blackcurrant and cherry, mingle with spices and leather. The palate is dense and rich, mirroring the nose with an herbaceous, meaty finish. Well-structured with a high tannin and acidity profile, make for a wine of long cellaring. Castiglion del Bosco is beautiful Brunello di Montalcino from one of the the leading estates in Tuscany!
