Often dubbed the Vosne of Chassagne, Paul Pillot's worked his magic yet-again with this release. Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Clos Saint is made from 100% hand-harvested Pinot Noir with Thierry Pillot painstacklingly cutting the bunches by hand. With clay dominant soils, the result is a powerful, silken Chassagne Rouge packed full of wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry fruits, underpinned by spice box and dusted cocoa notes on the finish.
