Piquepoul Rosé Foncalieu 2023

We love this Piquepoul Rosé! Though only 250 acres of this rare grape remain, Piquepoul Noir has been grown in Southern France for centuries. It is originally from the Languedoc and is one of the 13 grapes permitted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Piquepoul Rosé Foncalieu 2023 has a very pale pink colour. It is light bodied and clean with refreshing acidity, bright rose petal aromas and citrus notes. Piquepoul (which is also spelt Picpoul, depending on where you are in the world) means 'hen pecked' in tribute to the little grapes that the hens love nibbling on the vineyard ground!
