Montlouis Sur Loire Les Hauts de Husseau, Jacky et J.P. Blot 2019

Officially the longest named wine we have! Crazy character numbers, great effort...There aren’t many winemakers that are just as talented with red and white grapes. Jacky Blot is, however, one such producer, producing some of the Loire’s most intense, balanced and delicious wines. Some of the vines here are over 100 years old, and in 2019 they dug deep. The fruit is perfectly peachy, with a cool and silken texture on the palate that is supported by the supremely well-integrated oak. It is so fresh and vibrant, with a complex evolution ahead of it. How this is sub £35 I don't know. Stunning and brimming with vibrancy and complexity in spades.
