Mortlach 13 Year Old Special Release Single Malt Whisky

A very special 13 Year Old Single Malt Whisky release from the legendary Mortlach Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside. Matured in a combination of virgin and refill American oak casks. Mellow and rounded on the nose with savoury and meaty notes. The palate is rich and luscious with an intense vanilla sweetness balanced with spicy dry-oak and a surprising kick of chilli-pepper. The finish is long and deeply impressive combining fruit and spice perfectly. Magnificently intense, well-structured Mortlach with a character that rises to new heights. Add a dash of water to bring out the sweetness.
