Orgo Telavi Saperavi 2021

A Georgian gem made from 100% native grape varietal Saparavi. Made from 80-year-old vines, the wine is fermented and aged in Qvevri (large clays jars). Superbly balanced, this has a seamless tannin and acid structure with oodles of blackcurrant, cherry and earthy notes. The finish is firm and fresh with lingering tobacco and cocoa characters. Lovely paired with lamb or slow cooked beef. What a fantastic find from Georgia and one that should be on the bucket list!
