The wine is complex, supple, and well-balanced, with juicy fruits, spices, and a soft, rounded finish. Pio Cesare Barbera d’Alba is a perfect partner with food or simply enjoyed on its own. Pio Cesare Barbera d’Alba is made from 100% Barbera d'Alba sourced from Pio Cesare's fantastic parcels in Barolo and Barbaresco. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel tanks, with skin contact for 20-25 days. The wine is then aged in French oak barriques (25%) and 20-50 hectolitre casks (75%) for 12 months.
