Reichsrat Von Buhl's Freundstück GG has first-class soil and is an exceptional Grand Cru in the Pfalz. With radical selection, only the finest grapes are picked. Freundstück is the only GG to be left on full lees in a Yppstaler oak barrel, bringing with it a lovely creaminess and Burgundian essence, whilst also retaining that classic purity and saline edge of many great Rieslings!
"The 2017 Freundstück "GG" is clear, deep, fresh and pure on the complex and elegant nose, with classic sandstone and coolish (lemon) fruit aromas. Silky and salty on the palate, with enormous mineral and phenolic tension, this is a lush and slightly creamy, very elegant, perfectly balanced and persistently salty, vital and tensioned Freundstück with grip and tension and good length.
