When Chilean wine first burst onto the UK scene more than 20 years ago, we were astounded by the sheer quality and fruit-forwardness of the wines on offer. Sepa Moya celebrates the honesty, directness and sheer enjoyability of Chilean wine, in a pair of cuvées which combine Valle Central fruit with some selected splashes of higher-end cuvées from premium regions such as Cauquennes and Colchagua Costa. The two elements together are much more than the sum of their parts. The name - meaning literally, “Who knows?” - hints at the nature of the wines within. Cheeky, carefree, easy - yet made with a serious intent, resulting in an intriguing, engaging wine experience. Chile’s signature red, arguably, with instantly recognisable plum, mocha and spice notes on the nose, abundant fruit on the palate, and a long finish.
