Sugrue The Trouble With Dreams 2014 | Magnum
West Sussex, England, 150cl
Sugrue The Trouble With Dreams Magnum is a very special release. Dermot Sugrue's pinnacle 2014 release of his The Trouble with Dream's made waves when it was released back in 2018. This release is no different.Composed of a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir from both Dermot's Mount Harry and Storrington Priory vineyards. With maturation in Burgundian oak barrels and 6 years bottle ageing, this has gained exceptional complexity whilst retaining freshness and purity. Lovely golden amber in hue with a tranquil bouquet of stewed apple, rich stone fruits and layered biscuit and oatmeal characteristics. The palate is unmistakably English, combining fresh orchard and stone fruits flavours balanced alongside savoury toasted pastry and honey notes. Long and richly textured on the finish. Sugrue The Trouble With Dreams 2014 in Magnum is a glorious, warm-hearted, hedonistic crowd-pleaser that will deliver immediate pleasure. A worthy alternative to Champagne and a wonderful celebratory English Sparkling Wine!
"Deliciously fresh, elegantly Chardonnay-led, with gunpowder notes on the nose and beautiful precision on the palate. Complex and long, reminiscent of butterscotch." - Gold Medal, Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships
