Pommard Vieilles Vignes Girardin hails from vines 45+ years old from the village of Pommard. Matured in barrel (30% new oak) for 15 months before being bottle and released. This shows a beautiful dark ruby red in colour with rich aromas of black fruits and spices accompanied by woody and smoky notes. Powerful and and complex on the palate with well-balanced tannins, mouth-coating dark fruits, black peppers and subtle woody notes on the finish. Pair with marinated meat, game, braised ham or black forest gateau.
