Wakefield Estate The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Named in honour of Founder Bill Taylor Senior. The Visionary shows classic Cabernet characteristics of blackcurrant, cassis and dark cherry fruits accompanied with subtle minty notes. The finish is long and luscious, with velvety tannins and well-integrated oak characteristics of tobacco and pencil shavings. Certainly, one to age for up to 20 years or more, this represents the finest single vineyard release in the Wakefield range and only produced in exceptional vintages in limited quantities.

"Deep, rich crimson colour with a good tint of purple. The bouquet shows blackberry and various dark fruits with a patina of tobacco and toasty development and a very subtle lacing of mint. The wine is quite sweet in the centre from very ripe fruit, while the overall flavour is showing development and the beginnings of mellowness.
